Scotland's First Marine Bill - "Sustainable Seas for All"

Additional Consultation Events - Thurso and Banff - September 23 & 24, 2008

We are pleased to confirm that two further Marine Bill consultation events will be held around the Moray Firth, the first in Thurso on September 23 and the second in Banff on September 24. These will be shorter, two hour briefing sessions with a presentation from a senior Scottish Government Marine Directorate official followed by an open question and answer session.

Thurso

Tuesday September 23, 2:30pm to 4:30pm at The Weigh Inn, Burnside, Thurso, Caithness KW14 7UG. Tel: 01847 893722.

Banff

Wednesday September 24, 11:30am to 1:30pm, at the Fife Lodge Hotel, Sandyhill Road, Banff, Aberdeenshire AB45 1BE. Tel: 01261 812436.

These events are free and open to all. Please book your place in advance, by September 19, as refreshments will be served prior to the meetings. The main Moray Firth consultation event is on Wednesday September 10, at the Inverness Caledonian Stadium, from 11.00am to 4.30pm. This event will provide a forum for more in depth discussion of the main themes and the individual questions in the consultation document. Prior booking is required by Friday September 5 - see website for details.
