Aquaculture and Marine Environment research aims to deal with two main aims:
- to support a healthy and sustainable Scottish aquaculture industry and to safeguard the health of wild fish stocks, through regulation and scientific advice supported by high quality research
- to realise the vision of clean, healthy, safe, productive and biologically diverse marine and coastal environments in Scotland through integrated programmes of monitoring, research, advice, regulation and advisory work related to contaminants and their impacts on the marine environment.
