Clyde IFG

Clyde Inshore Fisheries Group (IFG) was one of the first three pilot IFGs to be launched. An initial meeting of the Clyde IFG's Executive Committee was held on 30 January 2009 in Glasgow, and there have been further meetings held since.

Fishermen's Associations which have registered an interest in the Clyde IFG, appointing a representative to the Executive Committee, are as follows:


  • Anglo-Scottish Fishermen's Association
  • Clyde Fishermen's Association
  • Galloway Static Gear Fishermen's Association
  • Isle of Man Fishermen's Association
  • Mallaig and North West Fishermen's Association
  • Northern Ireland Fishermen's Federation
  • Scallop Association
  • Scottish White Fish Producers Association Limited

Additionally, there is a seat on the Executive Committee for an elected representative of fishermen who are not members of Fishermen's Associations.

A Local Coordinator and Chairperson were appointed in May 2009. They are as follows:

  • Dr William Sinclair - Clyde IFG Executive Committee Chairperson

NEWS: NOTICE OF CLYDE IFG AGM

The Clyde IFG will be holding an Annual General Meeting at Glasgow Marriott Hotel, 500, Argyle Street, Anderston, Glasgow, at 11.30am on Tuesday 31st January. For housekeeping purposes any members of the public wishing to attend should inform the Clyde IFG Coordinator of this intention no later than 25th January. Similarly, any member of the public wishing to submit questions to the AGM should do so, in writing, by this date. For further information please contact the Local Coordinator.
