Between the 3rd and the 5th May, the European Seafood Exposition (ESE 2011) was held at the Parc des Expositions in Brussels.
Once again, the Scottish Pavilion proved a complete success and there have been many positive comments about the Scottish stand from visitors and exhibitors alike.
A few notable things around ESE 2011 were:
Loch Duart and Macraes Edinburgh Ltd won the Prix D'Elite categories for Best Seafood Product Line and Best Retail Packaging respectively
The European Director General for Maritime and Fisheries (DG MARE), Lowri Evans and UK Ambassador to Belgium, Jonathan Brenton, visited the Scottish Government stand
The Scottish Reception at the Pavilion included an estimated 160 attendees
The addition of a golf simulator brought a new dynamic to the stand
Enterprise Europe Scotland hosted a partnering event which involved over 140 networking meetings
