Introduction to the Region
The area covered by the Wester Ross/West Sutherland RDO stretches from Loch Hope in the North, down to Loch Hourn opposite the southern tip of Skye.
RDO Biography
Donna-Claire Hunter is a former student of Stirling University. She gained a BSc (Hons) in Marine Biology in 2003 and then went on to complete an MSc in Aquaculture at the Institute of Aquaculture at Stirling. Her PhD thesis " A GIS-based decision support tool for optimisation of marine cage siting for aquaculture: A case study for the Western Isles, Scotland" was completed in 2009. Donna-Claire has published a number of GIS research papers and contributed to book chapters in the field. Her work has been presented at a number of conferences including Aquaculture Europe in Istanbul in 2007. Donna-Claire previously worked in the retail sector as an Aquatics buyer for a major online pet retailer.

Steering Group Biography
The purpose of the steering group is to monitor the expenditure on TWG funded projects and to provide the RDO with guidance when required. The membership is divided equally between Wester Ross and West Sutherland.
