The West Mull AMA was signed in April 2004, it consists of Argyll Fisheries Trust, Mull District Salmon Fisheries Board, Scottish Seafarms and Panfish Scotland. Farming production in West mull consists of three marine sites and one freshwater site, with a total annual production of 2,500 tonnes.
The most significant river on the west coast of mull is the Lussa and the Ba.

Area Management Agreement
- Production Schedules: The salmon production year in West Mull runs from autumn 2007 until summer 2008 and will then have a six to eight week fallow period before the next crop is stocked. All marine sites were treated for sea lice in week ten to achieve the lowest possible levels during the spring smolt runs.
