The Lower Lorn AMA was signed in March 2006 and revised in September 2009, its members include the Argyll Fisheries Trust, Argyll District Salmon Fisheries Board, Nell and Euchar River Improvement Association, Awe District Salmon Fisheries Board, Lakeland Marine Ltd and Kames Fish Farming Ltd. The AMA area covers thirteen marine sites and five freshwater sites. The marine sites are managed as two seperate production areas where fish farming companies aim to synchronously fallow sites and undertake synchronous sea lice treatments.

The most significant catchments within the Lower Lorn area are the Adhainn na Cille, Oude, Glenmore & Glenbed, River Add, the Euchar and the Nell.

  • Production Schedules: The marine sites are managed as two seperate production areas - Loch Melfort and Loch Craignish. Loch Melfort contains salmon, rainbow trout and halibut production.
