The core fucntion of Marine Scotland Compliance HQ is the co-ordination and direction of Enforcement and Surveillance Operations. They have direct access to all relevant information in Marine Scotland Compliance. This includes:
- Logbook information
- Catch, landings and sales information
- VMS data (Satellite Position Reports)
- Aircraft and patrol vessel sightings
- Inspections information (in port and at sea)
- Fishing vessel hailing-in and prior notice of arrival information
- Fisheries Intelligence information
