How to Make an Annual Recurrent Claim

In this section you will find guidance on how to make an annual recurrent claim for Rural Priorities

To make a claim for Annual Recurrent Options in your contract, you will need to complete two forms: a Single Application Form declaring all your land and any Options on them, and the RP1 form.

You should read the guidance for the SAF form (IACS1 and IACS1a) carefully before completing it.

You can download both the RP1 Information Leaflet the Rural Priorities RP1 Form.

Making an on-line claim

You can complete both the SAF and the RP1 online on the Rural Payments Online portal. If you complete your claim online, this provides the following benefits:

· RP1 option codes on data sheets are automatically filled in based on last year's claim;

· RP1 details are carried forward from the data sheets - no separate RP1 form required;

· calculates your totals automatically;

· reduces the chance of making mistakes;

· give you 24 hour access and an instant receipt;

· helps us reduce the amount of paper used in the future;

You will need your Government Gateway log-in to do this.

Making a paper claim

If you cannot submit the above forms on-line, you can complete your claim details on paper forms.

If you have previously completed a Single Application Form, you should already have received one for this year in the post. Otherwise, you can request a SAF-pack from RPID Area offices or from FCS Conservancy Offices.

You can download the RP1 form and RP1 Information Leaflet here. You can also request it from our local offices, who will send it out together with a SAF if you need one.

Submitting your claim

You should submit your claim either all on-line or all in paper. If you choose to complete both on paper, these should be submitted to your SGRPID area office.

For both on-line and paper submissions, your SGRPID area office should receive your completed set of annual recurrent claim forms (SAF and RP1) by 15 May*. If we do not receive both forms by this date, we will apply 1% penalty per day that either of the forms is late, up until 10 June 2011 (if deadline later than 15th May this date also extends by same period). We will reject your claim if we do not have both forms by 10 June *.

The 1% penalty and the rejection of late forms applies across all schemes covered by the SAF, and late submission of your SAF can, therefore, affect claims other than for Rural Priorities. It is your responsibility to obtain, complete and return the forms to us by the prescribed deadlines.

* Where this date falls on a Saturday or Sunday the deadline will fall on the next working day.
