Why do we inspect Single Farm Payment claimants?
Under the current EU legislation the Scottish Government must inspect at least 5% of all Single Farm Payment claimants to verify claimed information. All the inspections that the Scottish Government carry out are done using a Global Positioning System.
What do we look for?
On farm the inspector will :
- Verify Field Boundaries
- Establish if fields are being fully used
- Calculate exclusion areas
- Inspect specific crop/land classifications
