Scheme publicity
Since the scheme was launched the Scottish Government has received very positive feedback from both scheme
participants and the accredited advisers who carried out the review exercise:
" I believe we have now got a very useful, in-depth appraisal of our farm business with clear directions for the future"
" We are delighted with this review of our farm and I think it has been a very worthwhile exercise"
" The fact that the review was being done forced me to think clearly about the future ………and had given me a much clearer path to what to do over the next 5 to 10 years"
" The review is very good value for money and I would recommend it to other farmers and land managers as it helps them to plan ahead"
In addition, the analysis of impact assessment and feedback forms returned by farmers has shown that 96% think the scheme is either "excellent" (around 50%) or "good".
The scheme is continually being promoted in a number of ways by adviser businesses, Lantra and the Scottish Government . That includes this web site, displays at the main trade events using roller banners, the availability of posters for general notice board display at auction markets, etc and articles placed in the farming press and various trade magazines. A copy of the poster used to advertise the scheme is available here.
The Scottish Government is always willing to consider new ways to promote the Scheme or help organisations to make their clients more aware if it. To obtain publicity material or offer publicity advice or new ideas please email: farmbass@scotland.gsi.gov.uk or telephone: 0300-244-6787.
