The Scottish Government employs two Meat and Livestock Inspectors who work closely with the Meat Hygiene Service (MHS), Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB), and all those involved in the meat industry on:

• Beef Import Tariff Quotas
• Beef Carcase Classification
• Pig Carcase Classification
• Deadweight Price Reporting
• Beef Labelling Scheme
• Aids to Private Storage
