(10/12/2010)Guidance on cross complianceconsequences for farmers in NVZ's who propose to spread slurry on frozen or snow covered ground as a result of storage facilities being at full capacity.

Exemption From Minimum Slurry Storage Requirement and Closed Period Spreading Restriction. (Added to Site 06/07/2010).

NVZ Farmers with exemptions from minimum slurry storage requirements and closed period spreading restrictions should note that renewals for 2011 must be submitted to thier local SGRPID before 31/12/2010.

Farmers are reminded that 2011 will be the last year where an exemption can be made.

If you do not have the required minimum slurry storage capacity by the 31/12/2011 you will be considered to be in breach of the NVZ Action Programme Regulations 2008.

NOTE: Existing exempted farmers intending to fund slurry storage via SRDP Rural Priorities grant should be aware that you will be unable to apply for grant funding toward compliance with the minimum storage requirement after 31/12/2011.

Any approved projects where the objective is achieving compliance with the minimum storage requirement must be be completed by 31/12/2011.
