ENVIRONMENTAL AUDIT

It is a requirement of the scheme that all applicants should submit an Environmental Audit for all the land on the unit/units covered by the application and that the content of the Audit should be approved by the Department. An application can involve one or more individual units within an IACS business but it must relate to the whole unit or units that are managed as one in functional terms as per the separate business tests. Artificial sub divisions of management units will not be accepted. If the Environmental Audit is up to standard but the application is not approved due to SEERAD financial limits, payment for the audit should be made. A sample of Environmental Audits in this category will require to be checked on the ground before payment, to ensure they are up to standard.
