SIMD 2006 Statistical Compendium
A compendium of analysis of the SIMD 2006 and, in particular, change in each of the domains between SIMD 2004 and SIMD 2006 by local authority. Individual indicator data are available for SIMD 2004 and SIMD 2006 in the Background Data section.
This set of tables and charts have been published as part of the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD) 2006 on 17 October 2006. General results are published in the SIMD 2006 General Report and full metadata on the indicators included and the methodology used are detailed in the SIMD 2006 Technical Report. There have been a number of changes to the methodology used to construct the SIMD between the SIMD 2004 and SIMD 2006. It is therefore strongly recommended that the Technical Report is consulted before drawing any conclusions from the results shown here. These spreadsheets will be updated with additional analysis as available.
The following link provides maps for each local authority, showing which areas have moved into, out from, or remained in the 15% most deprived between the SIMD 2004 and SIMD 2006.
