Education out with Schools
Following a consultation on the scope of Scottish Government School Statistics publications in September 2010 we have ceased to collect and publish statistics on Children Educated Outwith Schools. The latest available data is for 2008/09.
There were 755 children known to be educated at home in 2008/09 due to parental choice. It is recognised however that more such children may be home educated, but are not currently in contact with their local authority.
