ScotStat Committees/Groups
Two consultation groups with data suppliers and data users meet twice a year. Their remit contains an obligation to comment on the scope and content of Scottish Government National Statistics releases. Minutes will be published on the internet. Both groups are chaired by the Scottish Funding Council for Further and Higher Education:
- the Institutional Group on Statistics (IGS) deals with information relating to Higher Educations Institutions
- the Statistical Advisory Group for Further Education (SAGE) discusses college information.
Regular meetings are held with local authorities on EMA statistics.

Lifelong Learning Statistics User Conference
The Scottish Government hosted a Lifelong Learning Statistics user conference on 26 March 2010. The purpose of this event was to engage with users of Lifelong Learning statistics and to increase awareness of the statistics produced by the Scottish Government and other key stakeholders.
