"Work and Worklessness among Households in Scotland" was first published by the Scottish Government in October 2009.

The publication provided information on:

  • The distribution of working age households by economic activity at national and local authority levels.
  • The number of children living in workless households (i.e. where no working age adult is in work) across local authority areas.
  • Differences in work and worklessness among households in Scotland and UK.

Consultation

A user consultation seeking views on the proposal by the Scottish Government to discontinue this publication ran from 16th August 2010 to 13th September 2010.
