Housing Revenue Account (annual): Local Authority Housing Income and Expenditure
This return collects information on local authority housing income and expenditure. It covers consolidated income and expenditure, stock levels, average weekly rents, management and maintenance expenditure, rents lost because of voids, rent arrears and rent arrears written off and surpluses.
Following consultation with data users and providers, the return has been reformatted, more guidance provided, and additional space given for more specific items of expenditure and income. We hope to set up a working group with input from local authority accountants to assess what information is needed and the best way to collect this in the future.
