There are currently 126 classifications, these being the same for both industries and products.

The classifications map directly to the UK Standard Industrial Classification of Economic Activities 2003 ( UK SIC(2003)), which is based exactly on the European Community classification of Economic Activities (NACE revision 1.1).

ESA95

European System of Accounts 1995

The European System of National and Regional Accounts 1995 (ESA95, or simply: ESA) is an internationally compatible accounting framework for a systematic and detailed description of a total economy (that is a region, country or group of countries), its components and its relations with other total economies.

Supply and use tables are an integral part of the European System of Accounts (ESA 1995). They play an important role as an integration framework of the national accounts. The ESA 1995 is fully consistent with the world-wide System of National Accounts (SNA 1993).
