Update on the Review of Civil Judicial Statistics (CJS) - Update 6 (Published 30 June 2011)
The Scottish Court Service (SCS) have implemented the changes required to meet the data requirements of the CJS Review by the end of March 2011, with the new data collection starting in April 2011. In June 2011 the Scottish Government received the first dataset containing case-level Sheriff Court data. Work is currently ongoing with SCS to validate the new data and produce updated quality assurance procedures.
A Civil Judicial Statistics bulletin for 2009-10, based on data collected before these changes were made, was published on the Civil Judicial Statistics section of the Scottish Government's website on 21 December 2010. An equivalent publication for 2010-11 is expected to be published on 25 October 2011. Data collected after the changes made by the SCS will be published in the 2011-12 bulletin in late 2012.
