The Local Authority Social Work Statistics (LASWS) Groups are aimed at ensuring effective communication between Scottish local authorities, the Scottish Government and other stakeholders who have an interest in the collection of, or monitoring of, statistical information from local authority social work services departments.
From the criminal justice angle, this is achieved via the LASWS Criminal Justice (LASWS:CJ) Group. The primary role of the LASWS:CJ Group is to discuss and agree any proposed changes to the annual data collection, and to discuss issues which are relevant to the gathering of criminal justice social work data.
