These statistics, presented as maps, show the spatial distribution of fishing effort by UK vessels in Scottish waters in 2010. For each gear type the effort map is shown alongside maps of the quantity of sea fish caught in Scottish waters in 2010 by both UK vessels and foreign vessels that land into the UK.

The change in fishing effort between the year 2000 and 2010 and the change in the quantity landed for these two years are also displayed in accompanying maps.

A commentary describing the distribution of fishing effort and landings of sea fish is provided to accompany the fishing effort and quantity landed maps.
