2012-15 Settlement - Grant Aided Expenditure Website

Grant Aided Expenditure Website - Latest GAEs

This is the Scottish Government Grant Aided Expenditure (GAE) website. This site provides details of the underlying allocations which determine the distribution of the majority of funding across the 32 Scottish Local Authorities.

The vast majority of individual GAE totals (that is, the amount available for distribution between the 32 Local Authorities) remain at 2007-08 levels. This is in keeping with the practice introduced for the 2008-11 settlement. The underlying data used to allocate these totals has been updated and so the distribution of funds amongst Local Authorities has changed.

Any additional changes in funding resulting from Spending Reviews 2007, 2010 and 2011 are distributed using the GAE total for each local authority as they are no longer earmarked for particular GAE assessments. Further details of these allocations can be found in Finance Circulars 12/2011 and 1/2012.

Green Book

The 2012-15 'Green Book' detailing the 2012-15 GAE calculations is available below. The figures shown are as at Finance Circular 1/2012.
