SHS Lite

Overview

To stimulate the use of SHS data, particularly amongst local authorities, voluntary organisations and academia, the Scottish government developed a simplified dataset called SHS Lite. It is formatted in SPSS to provide all the necessary statistical functions for useful analysis in a form that is easy to navigate. This is avaiable upon request in CD format, or alternatively can be accessed through the UK Data Archive - see How to Access the Data.

The following data is currently available:

1999/2000 | 2001/2002 | 2003/2004 | 2005/2006 | 2007/2008

We aim to publish the SHS Lite 2009/2010 by March 2012.

Due to the number of requests received for accessing SHS Lite, we do not publish a list of recipients on the web. It is collated and monitored centrally though.

If you wish to submit a request then please use the pro-forma download option below. The downloadable document provides useful background information as to the development and use of SHS Lite. The pro-forma should be completed and submitted to the SHS Project Team.
