Quarterly Data Trends

As more data become available and results are released quarterly through the SHS Quarterly Data Release, the SHS can be used to examine trends in the data over time.

Below are links to tables and graphs illustrating change over time using the latest national SHS data available, for a variety of topics within the areas of Communities, Transport, Housing and Environment. These have now been taking out of scope of the main data release, but are retained here for just now in case they are used by analysts.

Current data: 2011 Quarter 2

Further Information

Data Quality

Data collected in surveys are always an estimate of the true proportions in the population. Figures for each quarter need to be considered alongside the sampling error that is contained within these estimates and this information can be used to give a range within which it is fairly certain that the true value lies.

More details can be found in the SHS Annual and Technical Reports via our Publications page.
