Research on these topics is commissioned and carried out by two teams working in the Scottish Government - the Environment, Biology and Agricultural Research Team (scientific research) and the Rural Social Research Team.
Research on fisheries and marine science is mostly delivered by Fisheries Research Services, an agency of the Scottish Government.
