Working Group Communique - November 12, 2008
The Working Group on Scotland Without Nuclear Weapons held its third meeting on November 12, 2008.
The Group heard updates on each of the five items of its remit, and welcomed the Minister for Europe, External Affairs and Culture to participate in discussion of how Scotland might contribute to good practice in developing peace and reconciliation.
The Minister for Parliamentary Business said:
"I am delighted that Ms Fabiani, Minister for Europe, External Affairs and Culture was able to join us this morning to contribute to the discussion of this aspect of the remit which is relevant to her portfolio. The Group continues to make good progress, both in developing new ideas and gathering in useful evidence which will inform emerging conclusions. I look forward to our next meeting in the new year".
