Child Protection Training
The Steering Group agreed the need to set up an inter-agency group which could assess the need, availability, consistency and quality of inter-agency child protection training.
This inter-agency group will operate at a strategic level building on some of the earlier work undertaken by a group led by the Social Work Services Inspectorate in 2004 on child protection training. In particular the Steering Group have agreed there should be a focus on:
The strategic group has met on a number of occassions since February 2005, you can view all the papers for the meetings here and membership of the group here. Amongst the papers for March 2006 meeting are the latest version of the training grid, and the first of the training materials.
