Membership of the Delivery Plan

Membership

The following Groups have been set up to support the implementation of the National Domestic Abuse Delivery Plan for Children and Young People.

At a strategic level:

Programme Board

The Delivery Plan Programme Board will provide the overarching direction and framework for the implementation of the Delivery Plan programme and advise Ministers, CoSLA and delivery partners on strategic issues across the Priority Areas and Analytical Programme. Membership includes the Scottish Government and the following organisations:

The Programme Board is chaired by Liz Hunter, Director of Equalities, Social Inclusion and Sport, Scottish Government.

Young Expert Group - Voice Against Violence

An expert group of young people affected by domestic abuse called Voice Against Violence (VAV), was set up in 2009. VAV is a voice for children and young people affected by domestic abuse in the implementation of the Delivery Plan, and the young experts will act as an independent source of expertise in relation to domestic abuse and participation.

The role of Voice Against Violence will be to work with Ministers, CoSLA and the Programme Board to ensure government is informed of children and young people's own priorties, and the delivery plan goes into action and makes a difference to children affected by domestic abuse.

At operational level:

Participation Steering Group

The Participation Steering Group is a source of advice and expertise to support the participation programme detailed within the Delivery Plan. Membership includes the Scottish Government and the following organisations:

The Participation Steering Group is chaired by Rod Harrison, Analytical Services Unit - Childern, Young People and Social Care, Scottish Government.
