Rape Crisis Specific Fund 2008-11
Following a commitment given by the First Minister, the Rape Crisis Specific Fund has been continued for three years from 2008 to 2011. The Rape Crisis Specific Fund provides core funding for local rape crisis centres, thus enabling stability of funding and ensuring greater consistency of provision across Scotland. It is specifically aimed at services to support women who have been raped or sexually assaulted.
Applications were submitted to the Violence Against Women Team by 8 February 2008. Applications for this funding stream are now closed. The text and documents below only apply to those who have received a grant offer letter from the Violence Against Women Team for this financial year.
Documents to be submitted in 2010-11
There are seven different documents the Scottish Government asks you to complete in the course of one financial year. For example, in 2010-11, the following documents and when they should be submitted to the Violence Against Women Team are as follows:
1. 2008-09 Breakdown of expenditure report - (deadline end of April 10)
2. 2008-09 End of year report - (deadline end of April 10)
3. 2009-10 Project Plan (deadline end of April 10)
These key documents will link to the original project plan submitted in 2008.
Please note: centres affilliated to Rape Crisis Scotland should send their documentation directly to Rape Crisis Scotland in Glasgow.
5. Application for payment of grant form (Annex A) - to be submitted quarterly in April 10, July 10, October 10 and January 2011.
Quarter 1 (14 April 2010)
Quarter 2 (1 July 2010)
Quarter 3 (1 October 2010)
Quarter 4 (1 January 2011)
TIP - print the application for payment of grant form and have a blank copy in front of you which may help you to complete the electronic version. The advantage of using the electronic version is that formulae has been incorporated into the form, so there is no need for you to calculate expenditure, underspend, etc., as this will be done for you.
Guidance to aid completion of the application for payment of grant is attached as Annex B
Every application for payment of grant must be printed off and signed, and a hard copy sent to:
Trudi Scott
The Scottish Government
The Gender Equality and Violence Against Women Team

Please do not email copies of these forms as we are unable to process them in that format.
If the application for payment of grant is not made within 30 days of the due date, the Scottish Government is not obliged to pay this installment. Please ensure prompt completion of the application for payment of grant forms to avoid this.
