Introduction

Mainstreaming EqualityHealth & Community Care Healthier Scotland

Women and men, minority ethnic women and men, older people, LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) people, disabled people and the other equality groups all have distinct needs and experiences that need to be taken into account in designing and delivering health and community care services. Equality issues are enormously important in the battle to improve health in Scotland.

Visit the Health Equalities Search Tool to search for information on equalities work in a range of health organisations across Scotland including the Scottish Executive (including Chief Scientist Office and Analytical Services), Information Services Division (ISD), Health Protection Scotland, Health Boards and many more.
