The Scottish Government shares the widespread concern about the booze and blade culture that has taken root in some parts of Scotland and is determined to do all it can to tackle violent crime and improve safety in communities.
Amongst the wider issues of violence, the Scottish Government takes the problem of knife crime very seriously. It is unacceptable for law abiding people in communities to be subject to such aggressive, mindless violent behaviour. The Scottish Government, the police and other partners are working together to tackle this problem head-on.
