Visiting a Justice of the Peace Court

Any member of the public can attend a Justice of the Peace court while it is sitting. Applicants who reach the interview stage are expected to have visited a local Justice of the Peace court to see it in session. The Justice of the Peace Courts map will provide you with the location of your nearest courts. To find out when they are sitting you should contact the Justice of the Peace Court you wish to visit.

When you attend the court make yourself known to the court officer who will introduce you to the clerk. The court officer will also be able to tell you where to sit to enable you to hear what is happening.
