The Summary Justice Review Committee commissioned several pieces of formal research in order to inform its discussions and facilitate the development of its conclusions. These can be accessed in the table below. You will note that one piece of formal research commissioned by the Summary Justice Review Committee which sought to compare the costs of running district, stipendiary magistrate and sheriff summary courts led to a further piece of research entitled 'District Court Finance Report - COSLA/Scottish Executive Joint Working Group.'
