Joint Premises Toolkit

Joint Premises Toolkit

Foreword from Mr Tom McCabe Deputy Minister for Health and Community Care.

Background

Within the context of joint premises development, the idea of producing a toolkit for local partners trying to secure joint premises emerged from the practical experience of the East Ayrshire Partners in developing community premises and in procuring a large new build development within an area of high deprivation in North West Kilmarnock (NWK).

The product of the experience of this and other projects is the Joint Premises Toolkit. Its purpose is to provide information and advice as to the main components of delivering a successful project.

Content

The toolkit covers five main development stages which the Partners have identified as key to successful delivery of joint premises.

1. PRE-REQUISITES

2. PREPARATION

3. DESIGN

4. IMPLEMENTATION AND COMMISSIONING PROCESS

5. EVALUATION AND REVIEW

Each section is supported by both links to sample/approved documentation and a series of Questions and Answers where appropriate.
