Housing Support Service

What the definition can cover

A service providing support, assistance, advice, or counselling to people who have particular needs, with a view to enabling the person to occupy residential accommodation as a sole or main residence.

Examples

Helping to pay bills or to arrange maintenance/repairs of domestic equipment for:

  • people with a physical impairment or learning disability;
  • refugees;
  • women escaping domestic violence

living in their own house, rented accommodation or sheltered accommodation.
