National Care Standards Committee
The original committee operated between 1999 and early 2002, developing the first nineteen sets of National Care Standards on behalf of Scottish Ministers.
It was reconvened in late 2002 to develop a further four sets. The Committee also considered a system for reviewing the National Care Standards. Recommendations were made to Scottish Ministers. These are being considered as part of the changes being made to scrutiny bodies in Scotland by 2011.
Membership of the Committee included other regulators, care service providers, clients of care services and relevant professional organisations.
The Committee set up working groups to deal with particular aspects of its work. Members included clients of care services, providers, health and social care professionals and local authority representatives.
Here are the agendas and minutes of the Committee.
