Regulation of Healthcare Professions, Non-Medical Revalidation

Non-Medical Revalidation

One of the proposals in the White Paper Trust Assurance and Safety was "... to ensure that all statutorily regulated health professions have in place arrangements for the revalidation of their professional registration through which they can periodically demonstrate their continued fitness to practise."

The report of the Working Group for non-Medical Revalidation entitled Principles for Revalidation, was published in November 2008.

All of the non-medical professional regulators are currently considering proportionate models of revalidation that will fit with the professional practice of the professions and the context in which they work.
