When will the Community Health Nurse model be tested?
- The Community Health Nurse model is being developed and tested in 3 NHS Boards until Summer 2010;
- Thereafter a report with recommendations will be made to the Scottish Government who will take a decision on the way forward;
- Other work groups have been established to look at:- education and training, workforce/workload and formal independent evaluation of the model;
- The timescales are as follows:-
a. April 2007 to March 2009 - Transition planning in the pilot sites
b. Spring/ Autumn 2009 - implementation of new role in the pilot sites
c. Autumn 2010- report and recommendations to the Scottish Government.
