HOW IS THE PROJECT BEING DONE?

Communication with stakeholders and frontline nurses and midwives is vital to the success of the project therefore an inclusive collaborative model was developed to take the project forward. The components of this model include a Stakeholder Group and Regional Networks.

The remit of the Stakeholder Group is to inform the review by providing comment and advice on any local/national implications of findings or proposed recommendations and the purpose of the Regional Networks is to ensure participation and expert contribution in the project by nurses and midwives from a range of specialities including adult acute care, paediatrics and neonatal nursing, midwifery, community hospitals, mental health and learning disabilities.

In addition to the above the review is being informed by current post-holders and other stakeholders through regional workshops. The workshops will take place during September 2006.
