National Workforce Planning

This includes:

• Policy on workforce planning at national, regional and local levels.
• Oversight and development of the workforce planning framework for NHSScotland
• Setting supply numbers for NHSScotland workforce including workforce planning for MMC
• Working with other units to scope short, medium and long-term workforce needs (people skills and competencies) for NHSScotland, and aligning these with supply numbers and affordability

• Leading the delivery of the annual National Workforce Plan
• Improving information systems to provide robust data for workforce planning.
