- Providing the necessary expertise to ensure that the Workforce Directorate achieves compliance with equalities legislation.
- Providing advice to NHSScotland with regard to the recommendations of the BICHARD review.
- Providing secretariat support to the Diversity Task Force.
- Developing a Volunteering strategy that supports recruitment and retention.
- Development, implementation and monitoring of branding framework for NHSScotland for workforce policy, recruitment, and all workforce development initiatives
Recruitment and Attraction
- Partnership Agreements relating to recruitment (nos. 420, 421, 441)
- Leading on development and implementation of: Determined to Succeed; NHSScotland component of Employability Framework (including Closing the Opportunity Gap target and Incapacity Benefit Reform)
- Development of national recruitment and career marketing campaigns.
- Development of new recruitment activities and mainstream to NHSScotland
- Delivery of national on-line recruitment and induction function.
- Development of best recruitment policies for all staff groups for NHSScotland (and communicating this)
- Explore and research potential new services for recruitment with other parties (eg wider public sector) and develop and maintain strategic alliances with external partners
