This survey was carried out by the Scottish Government with the purpose of measuring the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) indicators for patient experience of access.

2010/11 GP Access Survey

The 2010/11 GP access survey surveyed patients at GP practices that opted into the survey. Only practices that did not obtain full QOF points in 2009/10 were offered the chance to participate. Practices that did not participate in the survey will receive the same points as in 2009/10.

2009/10 GP Patient Experience Survey

In 2009/10 the GP access questions were included as part of the GP patient experience survey. Access results were published on 18 May 2010 and can be accessed here:

2008/09 GP Access Survey

269,186 GP Patients in Scotland took part in the GP Patient Access Survey in 2008.

The report entitled GP Access Survey: Results and Methodology was published on the 30th of June 2009.
