A Lead has been identified in each Health Board area to oversee the transfer of responsibility of prison healthcare from Scottish Prison Service to the NHS on a local basis. Leads are responsible for the development and implementation of local plans, and for co-chairing the Local Implementation Groups alongside Prison Governors.
