The Quality Alliance Board will support and drive the implementation and delivery of the Quality Strategy. It will:
- Challenge and ensure pace, momentum and impact of actions to pursue the Quality Ambitions across NHSScotland.
- Ensure that the work of the other Delivery Groups and the other high level groups are directly and positively impacting on Quality Ambitions.
- Provide regular updates to the Scottish Government Health Management, Chief Executives and Chairs Board on progress of implementing the Quality Strategy.
- Provide advice and recommendations as a Board to ensure that all policies and work led by NHSScotland and Scottish Government Health Directorates maximise their impact on Quality Ambitions.
- Consider what communication is required on the strategy with staff and the public to support implementation of Quality Strategy.
- Consider and agree the Quality Measurement Framework which will measure improvement towards the Quality Ambitions.
- Ensure the work-streams within the Infrastructure programme are appropriate to underpin delivery of the Strategy.
- Ensure that mutuality, equality and human rights are embedded in practice through implementation of the Quality Strategy.
