Review of Hospital Car Parking Arrangements

REVIEW OF HOSPITAL CAR PARKING

On 14 September 2007 Nicola Sturgeon, the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing, instructed a review of hospital car parking charges.

The Review was set up to examine the impact of charges on staff, particularly lower paid members of staff, and was tasked with considering the appropriateness of blanket, Board-wide policies, given the different circumstances that exist from hospital to hospital.

The Review Group includes representatives from the Scottish Partnership Forum, the Scottish Health Council, a voluntary organisation (MacMillan Cancer Support), an NHS Board Chair, HR Director and a Planning Director, and is tasked with reporting to the Cabinet Secretary by the end of November 2007.

Minutes of meetings, background papers and submissions for considerations by the review group can be accessed through the links shown.
