Overview

A single contractor capable of providing Server Maintenance services (hardware specifically) to all participating organisations.

The contract may be extended for a further 12 month period at the sole discretion of the Authority.

What is in scope?

The service required is:

  • fileserver(s) hardware maintenance

  • Identification the cause of any failure and effecting a repair

  • Warranty management (where appropriate)

  • Installation of new hardware - replacing server disk arrays

  • Hardware upgrades - typically involve memory and card upgrades, processors and power supplies

  • Equipment moves

  • Sever cleaning - cleaning of Servers and external racking

What is out of scope?

The following services are out of scope:

  • IT Desktop Maintenance

  • Sun Software support

  • Network maintenance

Who is this available to?

This contract can be accessed by the Scottish Government, Accountant in Bankruptcy, Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education, Historic Scotland, Education Scotland (formerly Learning & Teaching Scotland), Student Awards Agency Scotland, Transport Scotland, Crown Office & Procurator Fiscal Service, National Galleries Scotland, Scottish Prison Service, Scottish Court Service, National Library of Scotland, Scottish Environment protection Agency and the Mental Welfare Commission.

Note: It is the responsibility of any buying organisation wishing to use the Framework Agreement to satisfy itself that it is eligible to do so.
