What is in scope? | Lot 1 Fully Managed Catering Services - includes, the provision of in-house restaurants, high quality / branded coffee shops, food & drink vending, events, hospitality, kitchen deep cleans, equipment maintenance and inspection, and equipment budget management. Lot 2 Hospitality - includes the requirement for light refreshments and hot & cold buffet style catering, generally associated with business meetings. Lot 3 Events - includes a wide range of Events from drinks receptions to formal dinners that includes both traditional and contemporary style events. |
Who is this available to? | The Framework is open to the Scottish Government and Collaborative Partner Bodies including Agencies, Non-Departmental Public Bodies, offices in the Scottish Administration which are not ministerial offices, cross-border public authorities within the meaning of section 88(5) of the Scotland Act 1998, the Scotland Office, the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body, special health boards, Forestry Commission, Student Loan Company, Business Stream Ltd any public body established by or under the Scotland Act 1998 or any Act of the Scottish Parliament, any association of or formed by one or more of the above, bodies financed wholly or mainly by one or more of the above, bodies subject to management supervision by one or more of the above, and bodies more than half of the board of directors or members of which, or, in the case of a group of individuals, more than half of those individuals, being appointed by one or more of the above Note: It is the responsibility of any buying organisation wishing to use the Framework Agreement to satisfy itself that it is eligible to do so. - The statement of requirements has been developed to incorporate a wide range of service requirements including those relating to medical, religious and cultural.
- Throughout the statement of requirements the use of fresh and seasonal produce and the promotion of healthy options has been emphasised. In addition there is a requirement for the suppliers to achieve the Healthy Living award.
- Through consultation with policy groups and Quality Meat Scotland a baseline quality level, which does not add to cost, has been included in the framework statement of requirements eg: Protected Geographical Indicator requirement for Beef, Lamb, Pork, Bacon and Gammon.
- Inclusion of service levels relating to quality of food offering.
- Suppliers have all demonstrated the ability to support Government policies relating to catering including ethical, social and environmental policies.
- Suppliers will comply with Collaborative Partners Environmental policy and to work in a manner which minimises the impact on the environment.
