| Overview | Call-off contract from the Government Procurement Service (GPS). Vehicle Hire contract offers the provision of a cost efficient car and van rental (up to 3.5 tonnes) service mainly focussed on the Scottish mainland and Islands, but also with the facility for occasional provision in England and Wales. |
| What is in scope? | - Cars up to large 4/5 door hatchback / saloon / estate e.g. Volvo S60, Saab 93
- Medium / large people carriers e.g. Renault Megane, Renault Espace
- Small car derived vans e.g. Vauxhall Combo
- Light commercial vehicles e.g. Ford Transit
- Where possible customers are asked to restrict their bookings to smaller more CO2 efficient vehicles.

Note:It is the responsibility of any buying organisation wishing to use the framework agreement to satisfy itself that it is eligible to do so. Entitlement can be established from the terms of the OJEU advert and guidance on this can be found in Annex A of Scottish Government Guidance on Framework Agreements. If there is any doubt, legal advice should be sought. |
| Benefits | The contract offers a 'one stop shop' for all car and van rental requirements. It allows customers to book vehicles via one supplier no matter where in the country their booking is required. The supplier also co-ordinates customers bookings in areas where it does not have a local presence utilising its network of sub-contractors. Other customer benefits include: -
